good evening!
i have been attacked...
so it's one {wo}man down around here,
a random casualty of a spring cold.
this old fashioned concoction is making a very sore throat
feel a whole lot better...
i've had 3 today.
boil the jug and let the water cool down a bit while
squeezing the juice out of half a lemon
{wrap the other half up in cling wrap and keep in the fridge for next time}...
pour the juice into a glass or mug
add a good teaspoon or two of honey..a good dollop anyway.
fill up the glass with hot water...
and sip slowly.
it really takes the edge off.
i'll pop in and visit you again just as soon as i can...
take care!
naturally Carol xox
You poor thing Carol! Hope those cold symptoms 'clear up' ASAP. Hot lemon drink usually works wonders!
ReplyDeletetake care of your self Carol!!
ReplyDeleteBest remedy ever...take care and speedy recovery. x
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better soon Carol! Gargling cider vinegar (a tsp in some water) also helps. But everyone has their favorite remedies... talk soon. Love Jillxx
ReplyDeleteYou know what, sipping lemon and hot water just feels good and right. Use some soft cloths for your nose rather than tissues so you don't get all red and sore. x
ReplyDeleteNothing Better than the old Honey & Lemon works a Treat..
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better soon
Hope you are soon better Carol. A cold at this time of year is such a disappointment isn't it. Just when you should be feeling all happy and spring-like. I find honey and lemon always comforting, also good is gargling with salt water (yuck). Not so nice, but effective. cheers Wendy
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon! ;) xo Heather

ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon Carol, winter colds abound here but I often think summer colds are worse. My Dad swears by alternating cinnamon in hot water with the honey and lemon by the way. Be well x
ReplyDeleteI hope you soon feel better with your delicious lemony drink, Carol. I love honey and lemon when I have a cold though am hoping I don't need to make it too often this winter.

What a pretty image! I will have to try this next time I am ill. I wanted to tell you thank you so much for your kind words on my guest post on Vanisha's blog. And congrats to your son! He should read Cal Newport's book "How to Become a Straight-A Student: The Unconventional Strategies Real College Students Use to Score High While Studying Less".
