Tiny Ballet Dancers!

good morning...
it's a little foggy here this morning
but i'm sure that will clear!
{a bit like my mind at the moment..mmm.}

i have two more beauties from bron
at 'taylor made',
'cos they were so different from the cushions i showed you yesterday
i thought they needed their own post.

these are truly for the females...

aren't they adorable?

classical ballet dancers
&
pink rosebuds!
this cushion is so soft and cuddly
a real retro beauty.

i love the way this is constructed...
pretty strips of pinked fabric
sewn on to the purple then
lace and buttons...

just loving the button!

and another georgeous ballet dancer !

&
thanks for the little present...
for moi

so thoughtful!

the ballet dancers
are

no's 12 & 11
{only 10 more to go for nanango prep and kindy kids!}

i'm off to gunabel homestead for a cuppa this morning..
mmm..i know..it has been a busy week...
and i'm lovin' it!

tonight i'm going to a special night
called 'for her'...
a special speaker..michelle mitchell,
who has written a book on raising teenage girls,
and amazing decorations and gifts just for girls like me to appreciate..
and a candle lit supper...

looks like it's going to be a great night out tonight!

i'm hoping you'll be dancing through the day...

Back on the Black Couch!

good morning!
it is an excellent morning, this morning...
thank you
for all your prayers and thoughts bouncing their way to heaven
and through cyberspace to me here!

i am sure they helped me get through yesterday
and my two big challenges.

i suppose you are wondering how they turned out now...
the work appointment went well,
i found that the lady i had to meet was very friendly
and i'll enjoy our meetings from now on
and
i am pretty sure i passed the test..
a few gaps but mainly i remembered the stuff i studied..YAY!!!

when i got that test handed in
such a sense of relief swept over me
&
when i walked out of the lecture room
the stars looked brighter
and the frogs sang louder!

this morning is absolutely beautiful
and i have a lovely day ahead.
in a couple of hours
i'm off to help a group of women
do some decorating for a special event tomorrow night...
so it's all play today :)

my bright spot yesterday
was finding a package nestled next to my letterbox...

in the package were 6 cushion covers
for the preps and kinders at nanango primary school
who lost all of their school equipment in the floods in january...
and need 35 cushions for these classes.

how cute are these?

no 16 & 15...
"the paddingtons"

n.b. i'm back on the black couch...
mr t and sharrie have moved to the bedroom
that mr m vacated when he moved to brisbane
so
i swapped the couches
and the black couch is now in the lounge room
so i can use it!
{sorry if i've just bored you senseless..hehe!}

no 14
"the hippos"

don't you just love that hippo that's going a different way!
i wonder what he's looking for.

it's definitely boy time...

no 13
"the dinosaurs"

i am always amazed at the way
each person interprets this challenge creatively...
thanks so much to bron today!
i'm going to add her to my blogroll now
so that you can go and see her
anytime you want to...
at 'taylormade'

oh and before i forget...
just a little preview for tomorrow..
we've got two more of bron's covers

don't you love the way she wrapped up the package!
i just want to have that little button for myself...
oh well,

that'll have to be enough peeking
'til tomorrow...

Nervous Nellie?

hi there!
please forgive me today if i'm not quite myself...
i'm kinda freakin' out.

time to stick a picture in before i think too much
about it all.

today i have my first foray out into the world
as a field officer in my new little job...
so as if that's not enough to give me jelly knees,
tonight
i have a revision test for bible college
which has my stress levels right up there!

that little blue ginger plant
has lived under our back stairs
for the last seven years.

who knows how old it is
'cos it was here when we got here.
i've just been thinking how resilient it is...
flowering every year..
in a dry, dog infested patch of ground
with no tlc to speak of..apart from the occasional
hosing down.

i need some of that resilience
&
hardiness today!

at least by this time tomorrow
it'll be over red rover!

don't have a freakin' out tuesday like i'm having!

Simple Stripes and...

good morning!

i've a couple of things to show you
before i go to a little reunion morning tea this morning.

no 17
for nanango primary school
is a simple stripey affair...
made out of some fabric miss b left to me
way back when i started sewing again last june.

later i picked up the khaki backing fabric
just from lincraft down the road.

this is good tough fabric
and will withstand lots of pillow fighting
and time on the floor!

16 more to go..
i wonder if i can get them together
by the time the kids get back from holidays
in three weeks time.

wouldn't it be great for them to go back to school
and have the cushions waiting in the classrooms for them?
it's a goal!

now for something different.

a few weeks ago
sent me this divine blue bunting
it's a wip still
but i thought i'd just give you a peek!

i am going to make it double sided
so it can be looked at from both sides

thanks nic!

i used my new pinking shears
for the first time..yay!

i'm off to get ready
for a fun morning this monday...

see you later on.
