Post No. 500!

hi!

i was just about to write 'good morning'
but the morning has escaped already...
&
it's already past noon!

this is my 500th post.
they've been written over nearly 3 years.
my 1st was in august 2010.
it was written with as much angst
as anticipation.
it was a scary thought
that anyone but family might read my writing
&
i didn't know what family may think either!

now
we are old friends, my blog and i
&
all the people i've met and spoken to.
i look forward to spending time here...
some days more time than others.

my creative mojo has waned
but that's just part of life.
i've crocheted, sewn and knitted here
&
you've seen it all.
today i'm excited about my daughter's
garden transformations.
i'm her assistant
&
todays task as been to water all her babies
as they sun themselves under our bright blue queensland sky.

i do have a tiny jumper to finish knitting
&
with life a little less chaotic
maybe my creative mojo has just temporarily
ducked out for a cuppa...
here's hopin' anyway!

naturally Carol xox

  1. Wow...500! That's amazing! I know that sooner or later you'll get your creative mojo back. But who knows what form it will take. I've watched you for years and admire the way things have seasons for you and after a break something new and exciting emerges. No pressure! :) love Jill xx

  3. Congrats, and here's to the next 500! In life there is a time and a season for everything, and I'm certain that at some time, when it's good and ready, your crafty mojo will return. But I always enjoy your blog and hope you continue to write for a long time to come :-)
    Hugs,
    Xx

  5. Congratulations, Carol! I think it's normal to have some gaps between creative spurts - or maybe that's me justifying a distinct lack of productivity on my part recently! Hoe you find your mojo again soon!

  6. I always do less craft in the summer months....other things get in the way but it is good to get out into the fresh air anyway!

  8. Congrats Carol - 500 Posts is a lot!!! I'm sure your mojo will return. It does kind of wax and wane for me. I'm currently dabbling in quite a few things but not really finishing anything which is equally as frustrating as not starting anything! Hope you enjoy the rest of your week. Mel x

  10. Congratulations, Carol! I really enjoy your blog. I think mojo ebbs and flows for all of us. Right now, I'm so tired of the summer heat, I haven't crocheted or sewed in days. I miss it and I want to feel enthusiastic about it again. Soon, hopefully.

  13. Congratulations! This is certainly something to be proud of. I really love your blog, because except your knitting, sewing and crocheting, there is so much more. Your beautiful pictures, and above all, the thoughts and questions you share. It has happened more than once, that a post by you was an eye-opener. Thank you for this.

  20. Congrats on 500 posts Carol! Holy cow I would never get that many written, I might be lucky to get to 200. Loving your outdoor pretties, can hardly bear to be inside at all at the moment myself, the weather is so amazing. Sorry for the late reply about the floors, hubby used 3mm exterior grade ply under the floorboards and nailgunned them in position as he couldn't face the thought of handnailing above his head, ha. Still a work in progress underneath as we've run out of ply, neverending story.
