good evening!
in between showers
these poinsettias have been growing and blooming
forming an arch
over our front path...
these flowers...
really leaf bracts actually...
are magnificent in the middle of winter.
i love the way that here in our sub tropical climate,
flowers bloom
and trees are still clothed in bright green
even in our coldest months.
they cheer me up no end
on some of these cloudy dull days!
i've been recovering from a head cold
over the last couple of days...
the weekend was mainly spent sleeping through it
...a waste of a long weekend really...ah well.
today
made up for it...
morning tea and bible study
with friends
warmed my heart and fed my soul...
{....thanks for asking..
yes, i did make these covers, sewn and crocheted...
last year sometime.}
i hope there is plenty to cheer you up
this week!

Carol, seeing those poinsetta's cheer me up too. How wonderful. We do not see them grow like that here. Thanks for posting those pics. Amazing. I am truly blessed! Blessings to you!
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon. Those poinsetta's look so bright and cheerful. I still have mine from Christmas but wouldn't dare put them out. Take care. Chel x
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon, Carol. The poinsettias are lovely.
ReplyDeletePoinsettias are so cheery, a little xmas in winter. We have a maple that thinks its Autumn and is giving us some warmth on a cold wet day. Hope the sniffles go away soon.
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better now? Talk soon! love Jill xx
ReplyDeleteHi Carol! A lot have have happened and I hope to catch up. For some reason your blog didn't run well (perhaps our slow internet area), but now I'm happy to see that it's running in high speed! Congratulations grandma! I read about your fall in stairs - you left so early that you couldn't have woked up yet; good you didn't heart yourself.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes! x Teje
Lovely flowers, and hope you're feeling better soon. Xx
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing those amazing poinsettia flowers growing outdoors rather than in little pots like we have over here! Your cushions look very pretty, love the red flowery fabric. I hope you are feeling much better today, Carol. Take care.

Those poinsettias are gorgeous. What a lovely bit of warmth for winter. Hope you're feeling better after a lovely weekend in bed. Nothing like rest to get the body better. Love your cushions. Very clever:) x
