good afternoon!
the tree is trimmed
&
presents wrapped...
well, mostly anyway.
i got up early this morning
&
while it was still cool
&
most were sleeping
i assembled a cupcake wrapper garland for the tree.
then trotting back and forth
to the christmas boxes
slowly the tree looked sparkley and pretty.
i can see a bit of a green gap in the middle there,
though the tree looks better from the front but the light wasn't as good from there.
i may add a few more decorations
in the next few days,
i've still got some fimo to play with.
after breakfast
i started wrapping...
and wrapped...
went out for coffee with a friend...
came home and wrapped again.
i've still a few more to buy...
then i'll wrap again!
how about you?
naturally Carol xox
What you can't do with cup-cake wrappers! x

Love your gifts - nice colour combination with the red and white and brown paper. Wrapping presents is our Advent calendar activity for tomorrow - I love this part of Christmas preparations... although with 26 gifts... it may take me most of the day :)
ReplyDeleteWell, it's official. You are at least a million times more organised than me. I did buy wrapping paper but I can't remember where I put it...
ReplyDeleteYour tree looks great! And I never would have thought of doing that with cupcake wrappers - they look so pretty like that! Happy wrapping! Xx
ReplyDeleteVery pretty garland, your real tree is looking wonderful. Was hoping for a real one this year just for the smell, maybe next year. You have great taste in wreaths, i have the same,ha.
ReplyDeleteFabulous idea Carol! I love it :) Kx
ReplyDeleteawesome garlamd. everything looks beautiful
ReplyDeletegreat wrapping very impressive...now just to go and get my presents. xxxx
ReplyDeleteYour cupcake garland looks really cute on the tree! I love the way you have wrapped some of the gifts with strips of paper around the middle. What a great way to use up scrap pieces. Why don't I ever think of things like that? See why I love blogville so much?
ReplyDeleteLove your cupcake garland!! So sweet!! And those gifts are wrapped so pretty!! Happy weekend to you! xo Heather
ReplyDeleteYour tree looks beautiful! I'll be it smells divine too. When the little ones are a bit older I'd like to have a real tree too. Miss Emerson has just started crawling (!) and is delighted at the ornaments on the lower branches. I'm quite sure she would eat the pines if they were real.
ReplyDeleteLove a beautiful pile of sweetly wrapped presents too. Ten sleeps to go! :)
Your tree is looking great Carol! I still have lots of present organising to do :-(
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely Carol. I can almost smell that beautiful pine scent of your tree... ours is an artificial tree and I long for the day when I can let my boys experience a REAL Christmas tree in the house. Your decorations look so bright and pretty, very festive indeed xo
ReplyDeleteI Love the wrapping on some of your Pressies and I do Love your Cupcake Garland what a Fab Idea might just have to borrow that one...
ReplyDeletecheers
Looks so beautiful! I have to do all my wrapping last minute - so the kids don't do some unwrapping!!!
ReplyDeleteThe garland is gorgeous - and I love the theme for your pressies too
ReplyDeleteWrapped my first ones this week - lots to go!
I've got fimo too - with no real plans...time will tell
It's all looking very festive Carol, and the garland is inspired.
ReplyDeleteNot a single present wrapped here yet, in fact I've yet to finish the shopping!
Hello Carol I am loving all your red and white decorations and wrapping here! I have got most of my presents and done lots of the wrapping, just waiting for a couple more things to arrive :) I can just imagine the wonderful pine-y scent in your house! Wishing you a wonderful festive week ahead.

I wish I could say I was as organised with my wrapping as you are but sadly not. I have them sitting looking at me on my desk just waiting but first I need to make some tags, maybe tomorrow I will get some done and then into the post asap. I hope you are keeping cool.x
ReplyDeleteThe tree looks bee-u-ti-ful. I love the garland - great idea. An all the pretty wrapped packages. I haven't wrapped a single thing yet, time to get started. I have more shopping to do still though so I'm going to go out today and try to get it all done. Whew - what a busy season.
ReplyDeleteThe cupcake garland is such a great idea! Looks wonderful on the tree.
ReplyDeleteI love the cupcake garland. How clever!
