Squeeze Half a Lemon...

good evening!

i have been attacked...
so it's one {wo}man down around here,
a random casualty of a spring cold.

this old fashioned concoction is making a very sore throat
feel a whole lot better...
i've had 3 today.

boil the jug and let the water cool down a bit while
squeezing the juice out of half a lemon
{wrap the other half up in cling wrap and keep in the fridge for next time}...
pour the juice into a glass or mug
add a good teaspoon or two of honey..a good dollop anyway.
fill up the glass with hot water...
and sip slowly.

it really takes the edge off.

i'll pop in and visit you again just as soon as i can...

take care!

naturally Carol xox

  5. You know what, sipping lemon and hot water just feels good and right. Use some soft cloths for your nose rather than tissues so you don't get all red and sore. x

  7. Hope you are soon better Carol. A cold at this time of year is such a disappointment isn't it. Just when you should be feeling all happy and spring-like. I find honey and lemon always comforting, also good is gargling with salt water (yuck). Not so nice, but effective. cheers Wendy

  12. Hope you feel better soon Carol, winter colds abound here but I often think summer colds are worse. My Dad swears by alternating cinnamon in hot water with the honey and lemon by the way. Be well x

He should read Cal Newport's book "How to Become a Straight-A Student: The Unconventional Strategies Real College Students Use to Score High While Studying Less".
