nearly two,
this week ~
i'm grateful ...
for legs
i would most of all
love elegant legs
or even cute ones!
elegant or cute they're not.
but i am grateful for them...
two weeks ago
my right knee wouldn't let me stand up.
it has slowly been improving
and i can hobble now
and i am grateful for that!
how wonderful legs are;
walking,
running,
jumping,
moving
legs.
use your legs and see the world
outside your lounge room...
and whisper a prayer of thanksgiving ~
no matter what they look like.

Great one Carol! Some people just don't realize what a privilege it is to be mobile. I have a post about a canine too. Must be in the same wavelength today. Btw, we receive the very pretty pillow yesterday! Anya hugged it in her sleep. Will post a photo soon. Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're back on your feet, Carol. I'm also glad that you don't actually walk around on dog legs. That would be a sight.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing the wisdom that getting older brings to us. Once we worried about our thighs being too fat, now we're just grateful that they work!! x
My husband would agree with you on this one. He is on crutches and hobbling at the moment and getting so frustrated. Charmaine
ReplyDeleteA couple of months ago I suffered a stress fracture and was told not to run - oh how I appreciated my legs then!! Hope you're back on 2 feet again soon :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post, yes, I think sometimes we take them for granted. Thanks so much for your lovely comments about my magazine article. xx
ReplyDeleteHi Carol, hope your knee is coming along ok. Thanks for reminding us how lucky we are to be so mobile. A close friend of mine is a paraplegic and I marvel at how well he does, but life is much more difficult for him.
ReplyDeleteYou sew a nice straight line. Thanks for swinging past my place.
ReplyDeleteHope you'll be running and jumping and dancing in no time. Thanks for visiting my blog today.
ReplyDeleteoh yes working legs are a blessing. Hope your knee trouble isn't too bad. xx

ReplyDeleteLegs ...they take you the most wonderful places and they are a blessing for sure.
Loved this post - I hope you go from strength to strength on 2 legs again.
Glad to hear you're knee is on the mend. Hopefully you'll be back to running, jumping and dancing in no time. Thanks for visiting my blog :)
ReplyDeleteI'm hearing you - its not til something starts to hurt, that you realise just what a useful limb it is !
ReplyDeleteI love how this meme reminds us to be grateful for all the basic things in life. I'm so pleased for you that your legs are holding you up again.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week.
Hope they stop troubling you soon. Anica? (that's what mum always asks)...love Jillxx
