Simple Stripes and...

good morning!

i've a couple of things to show you
before i go to a little reunion morning tea this morning.

no 17
for nanango primary school
is a simple stripey affair...
made out of some fabric miss b left to me
way back when i started sewing again last june.

later i picked up the khaki backing fabric
just from lincraft down the road.

this is good tough fabric
and will withstand lots of pillow fighting
and time on the floor!

16 more to go..
i wonder if i can get them together
by the time the kids get back from holidays
in three weeks time.

wouldn't it be great for them to go back to school
and have the cushions waiting in the classrooms for them?
it's a goal!

now for something different.

a few weeks ago
sent me this divine blue bunting
it's a wip still
but i thought i'd just give you a peek!

i am going to make it double sided
so it can be looked at from both sides

thanks nic!

i used my new pinking shears
for the first time..yay!

i'm off to get ready
for a fun morning this monday...

see you later on.

  5. The stripes are fab. Does that bunting kit make it super easy, even for a non-sewer. I'd love to give it a whirl...
