good morning
on a slightly misty but sunny,
queensland
sunday morning!
i took this picture
only a few minutes ago...
the sun caught this poinciana tree.
i love the way it's branches spread
out across the whole front yard of this house...
it's roots encompass the plants in their pots.
it is strong, healthy and green.
my mango tree.
this morning...
i love that it is old
and makes its own space
where it stands.
"he shall be like a tree
planted by the rivers of water,
that brings forth fruit in its season,
whose leaf also shall not wither,
and whatever he does shall prosper"
psalm 1: 3
that is God's will for us!
if i'm not too late to the party...
i'm joining in with "maxabella"...
hoping you have a special sunday!

I love trees, Carol. When we drive to the countryside, I always find myself gazing at the wonderful architecture of trees. Lovely post! ;-)
ReplyDeleteG'day Carol,
ReplyDeleteYou have me grinning from ear to ear. I am a tree hugger for sure!
I was reading a similar Scripture this morning in the book of Jeremiah.
"Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit." Jeremiah 17:7-8 ESV
Blessings, Kerrie
they really are inspiring aren't they? with their big, sheltering branches and green blankets of leaves

ReplyDeleteBeautiful trees Carol!! Thank you for showing. I like it so much to travel around the world through all the lovely blogs that are out there, and see things which are not common in my part of the planet.
ReplyDeleteNever too late to be grateful, Carol. Thanks for sharing your beautiful neighbourhood trees. Stunning. x
ReplyDeleteWe have the hugest gum tree in our yard...a large branch came down on Friday and now the tree doctor must come and check out the rest ...just love the character it gives our home.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. You live in a pretty place. Very inviting.
ReplyDeleteYou've got beautiful trees and lovely shade on hot days.
ReplyDeleteHello Carol! Your mango tree is so beautiful and big! I really miss big trees! Have a great week! Teje
ReplyDeleteThe scenery is quite familiar for me...I live in Tas now but I grew up mostly in Brisbane on the North side.
ReplyDeleteI'm never ungrateful for a tree that makes mangoes!
