Wrapped in a Huge Hug!

this is for you
my lovely blogging friends,
who have left such thoughtful messages...

i feel as though
i have been wrapped
in a huge caring hug of concern,
love and prayer
for me and my family.

thank you from the bottom of my heart!
we are fine

but...
keep praying
and giving where you can
to queensland flood relief appeals
links at
retromummy's blogsite.

to the people of toowoomba
and surrounding area,
you have our prayers, tears and condolences.

to the people of brisbane,
ipswich and surrounding areas
we are praying
that you and your families will be safe
in the coming days.

to the people of rockhampton,
and bundaberg and surrounding areas
and out west...dalby and regional areas
we will keep on thinking and praying for you..
you are not forgotten.

personally,
i am so pleased that miss b is in canada..
and not in brisbane at this time...
she has only just left!

this is the first time in years
that we don't have immediate family members
in brisbane or toowoomba.

and for lori and her children...
our tears and love are for you.

  1. Hi Carol, you are one of the loveliest people I know, you do everything so tastefully and beautiful.
Yes I got wet in bed. I always sleep with the windows open and only very rarely does the rain come inside. Well I slept so soundly, that when I woke up to go to the bathroom I put the donna back and it was wet.Got on the floor and it was soaked..it came in the windows..LOL I am such a nut. My daughter says I am all brain and no common sense...so true. It was a shock but no we are dry...on a hill. Gosh there are so many to feel sorry for. I can't stand to look at the floods. It brings back terror from my childhood and that was a long long time ago.
Ray goes out to take the photos. He goes early in the morning and paddles through the water. I am hoping Frances and her family are okay on the south side.I will post some more pics tomorrow. Had to give Shiarn a birthday today. God watches over us. xxx

  6. Hello Carol. such a lovely post it is, all those who suffers from the flood wish them peace in their lives, I understand the whole thing very easily because we too had flood in last July and August and it shook the complete country... how miserable and disaster it was... May God bless His shadow of peace and safety on them... Ameen.

  7. I'm watching it all in disbelief from the safety of a slightly soggy Melbourne. And I worry about all of you there. I hope this passes quickly. So much to be done to get peoples lives back. Thanks for letting us know you are ok.
