oh happy day!
yesterday afternoon when i got home from my lovely lunch...
i found a parcel from nancy @ a gardner's cottage
waiting for me on the table!
here are the georgeous aqua fabrics
that she carefully picked ,
especially to make cushions with,
for our "call for cushions" to comfort
some of the families
affected by the queensland floods!
surfin' monkeys by benartex
'leaves'...leanika for freespirit...with ...'a beautiful time'...rjr fabrics...
pattern 5765 by blank textiles inc....and...fiber weave by p & b studio...
both 'surfin' monkeys' fabrics by benartex
and a paua shell
that mr t brought me home from new zealand...
when he was nine!
don't those fabrics match it beautifully...
a little bit of the sea.
nancy...i love them...
i've never worked with so much georgeous aqua...
i'm crossing my fingers
and toes...
hoping for the best result!
please pop by 'a gardner's cottage' today..
and say a big 'hi' to kind and generous nancy...
she's talented as well..
and does beautiful quilting!
{and is surrounded by snow at the moment!}
have a fruitful february day!

p.s...if you would like to join us in making cushions for people affected by floods in queensland
please email me for details and see post labelled 'call for cushions'.
They are truly intoxicating fabrics. Beautiful, healing. Wow!
ReplyDeleteOMG what a lovely colour. I can see cushion covers, quilts, napkins and add with complimentary colours. My mind is going crazy. Re the feather cushions they do have a bit of foam in them so they puff up a bit but with linen or cotton covers and the soft feather the cushion is so gently on the face (my son loves to lye on them). The polyester filling just feels so fake, harsh against the face. Charmaine
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL fabrics! Have fun creating with them!
